On December 5, 2024, 52-year-old businessman Elijah Matoke was reportedly attacked with acid in his Kaptembwo home in Nakuru County. According to reports, his second wife, Ruth Jelang'at, allegedly poured acid on him during a domestic dispute.
Following the incident, Mr. Matoke was rushed to Nakuru County Referral Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries four days later. Authorities arrested Ms. Jelang'at and her son in connection with the attack.
