Aspirant for Matungulu MP 2027 Leads the Fight Against Abductions
Hon. Kamwana Addressing the people of Matungulu

Kenya stands at a crossroads, facing an alarming rise in abductions that endanger public safety and erode democratic values. Public concern has deepened as the government claims ignorance of these incidents, fueling frustration and calls for accountability.

In an exclusive interview with Aktive Citizen, Hon. Chairman Kamwana, a patriotic Kenyan and aspiring MP for Matungulu Constituency, addressed the crisis and outlined a bold plan to confront it head-on.

Citing a report by the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), Kamwana revealed that since June 2024, 82 abductions have been reported, with 29 individuals still missing. The crisis hit home for many on December 17, 2024, with the chilling abduction of Steve Kavingo, also known as Mbisi, in Mlolongo. “The abduction of Steve Mbisi and others is not just an attack on individuals; it is a threat to the very fabric of our democracy,” Kamwana said, likening these incidents to oppressive practices of past regimes.

Recent developments have added urgency. While the Inspector General of Police denies involvement, Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has suggested a shadowy unit may be behind the abductions, highlighting the need for transparency and accountability.

“The government must prioritize citizen safety. Silence and inaction are unacceptable when lives and freedoms are at stake,” he said.

Kamwana criticized Parliament for failing to hold the executive accountable, highlighting its focus on passing unpopular economic bills while ignoring pressing security concerns. As a prospective MP, he vowed to challenge such negligence, scrutinize government actions, and champion constitutional freedoms.

He also called on Kenyans to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and support victims’ families. Kamwana urged citizens to demand transparency and decisive action from leaders, framing the crisis as a battle for democracy itself.

“This fight is about more than the victims—it’s about safeguarding democracy and ensuring every citizen’s life and freedom are valued. Together, we can reclaim our nation and secure a brighter future,” he concluded.

As Kenya grapples with these challenges, Kamwana’s message stands as a rallying cry for collective vigilance and accountability to protect democracy and the rights of all citizens.
