Safaricom Announces a 4-Hour M-Pesa Outage for Scheduled Maintenance
Safaricom's M-Pesa will be down for maintenance on Tuesday September 10. Bill payments, money transfers, and cash withdrawals will be impacted, but calls, data, and SMS will remain unaffected.
Sep 10, 2024: Safaricom has announced that its M-Pesa mobile money platform will be temporarily unavailable for over four hours on Tuesday night due to scheduled system maintenance. The maintenance will take place from 11 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, to 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11.
During this period, services such as bill payments, money transfers, cash withdrawals, and airtime purchases will be inaccessible. However, Safaricom has assured users that all other services, including calls, data, and SMS, will continue to function normally.
