The IEBC Selection Panel Announces 11 Shortlisted Candidates for Chairperson Role

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Selection Panel has shortlisted 11 candidates for the position of chairperson, narrowing the field from 37 applicants.

Interviews are scheduled from March 24 to 26, 2025.

Notable candidates include former East Africa Court of Justice judge Charles Ayako Nyachae and former Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Anne Atieno Amadi. Other shortlisted individuals are Abdulqadir Lorot Ramadhan, Edward Katama Negywa, Jacob Ngwiele Muvengei, Joy Brenda Masinde-Mdivo, Lilian Wanjiku Manegene, Robert Akumu Asembo, Saul Simiyu Wasilwa, Erastus Ethekon, and Francis Kissinger.

Candidates are required to present original identification documents, academic credentials, and clearance certificates from relevant authorities. The selection panel has invited public submissions regarding the applicants to ensure a transparent recruitment process.
